She lowered her head, hid her eyes from him. She didn’t want him to dive into her soul. Yet, he kept staring at her.

“Tell me, do you love me?”

His question made her heart beat faster. She couldn’t answer it. What did he expect?

“I love you.”

His statement couldn’t force her raise her head.

“I know you love me, too. But, you just can’t leave him. Why? You don’t love him.”

Oh, what did he know about love?

“One thing for sure, I don’t love her.”

Yeah, like she cared!

“But,” he continued.

“But, you just can’t leave her either, right?” finally, she spoke up.

Then, she raised her head. Her eyes looked for his. But now, she couldn’t find them as both were perfectly hidden.

He didn’t seem to want her to dive into his soul either.
